Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Sex Trafficking using the ‘Loverboy’ recruitment method are widely reported issues that have featured in recent headlines. To reflect this, the new version introduces Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) typology to help financial institutions to detect CSAE-related activity in their data and adds a new scenario Identifying ‘Loverboy’ Sex Trafficking Network.
The latest release’s key changes are:
- Addition of one new typology – 7000 Online Child Sexual Exploitation comprising three new scenarios:
- Identifying Online Child Sexual Exploitation – Perpetrator (7001)
- Identifying Online Child Sexual Exploitation – Facilitator (7002)
- Identifying Online Child Sexual Exploitation – Grooming (7003)
- Addition of one new scenario – Identifying ‘Loverboy’ Sex Trafficking Network (3004) to an existing typology (3000 Trafficking Network Patterns and Trends)
- Addition of 18 new indicators bringing the total to 202 indicators
- Further enrichment of indicators based on external feedback received from banks and partners
- Fully revised and updated Data Segment for all indicators
